A nova série animada do Homem-Aranha, The Spectacular SpiderMan, é uma parceria do Marvel Studios com a Culver Entertainment (do departamento de animação do grupo Sony), e vai ao ar no horário Kids’ WB! do CW, aos sábados pela manhã.
A supervisão de produção é de Greg Weisman (The Batman) e a de direção é de Victor Cook (Hellboy: Blood and Iron).
A nova série animada começa sua mitologia no início da carreira de herói do Escalador de Paredes, mostrando-o aos 16 anos de idade.
Depois de passar o verão descobrindo seus novos poderes e lutando com criminosos comuns, Peter Parker agora precisa conciliar a pressão da vida adolescente, seus problemas financeiros e seu azar no amor, com o combate à vilões do calibre do Doutor Octopus, Duende Verde, Electro, Venom, entre outros!
